At Southland Organics, we love sharing how nature powers everything we do. Our liquid products are packed with beneficial microbes, which means they need a little breathing room to stay healthy and active.
To give our living products the breathing room they need, we package them in bottles with vented caps. As the microbes multiply, they release small amounts of methane. The vented cap allows the gas to escape so that the bottle doesn’t over-inflate or risk breaking. This simple design protects the integrity of the product and keeps those live ingredients thriving.
Because the vent allows pressure to escape, it can also occasionally let out a small amount of liquid. Any product that escapes is typically minimal, and we intentionally fill our bottles knowing a little may be lost in transit to ensure you still receive the full amount you paid for.
When you unpack your order, just wipe off the bottle, make sure the cap is tight and store it upright in a cool, dry place.
