1. Spring | Genesis
Application Rate
Apply 10–12 oz. of Genesis per thousand square feet, diluted at a 1:20 product to water ratio. Apply Genesis in the spring, starting in March. Apply once a month for a total of 3–4 applications.
2. Summer | FertALive and Omega
FertALive is a powerful and effective nutrient enhancer that delivers nutrient-releasing microbiology and vital nitrogen in small amounts to create a revolutionary lawn experience. The key to a healthy, lush and disease-free lawn is developing a living soil teeming with beneficial biology and rich organic acids. By applying FertALive to your lawn, you are providing weeks of steady nutrition.
Omega is our amplified formula of biologically active carbon and organic acids. The added proprietary blend of beneficial bacteria promotes nutrient uptake and builds grass that is resilient to disease and environmental stress.
Application Rates
Apply FertALive and Omega in the summer, starting in late May and continuing through August or September. Apply 8 oz. of FertALive per thousand square feet, diluted at a 1:30 product to water ratio. Apply 6–8 oz. of Omega per thousand square feet, diluted at a 1:20 product to water ratio. Apply once per month for a total of 4 applications.
3. Fall | Revival
Revival is the ultimate microbial dethatcher, liquid aerator and compost accelerant. It breaks down your lawn's thatch organically and converts it to usable nutrients to help keep your grass healthy. This allows you to avoid the costly and time-consuming tasks of physical thatch removal and mechanical aeration.
Application Rate
Apply 5–7 oz. of Revival per thousand square feet, diluted at a 1:20 product to water ratio. Apply Revival in the fall, starting in September. Apply once per month for a total of 2 applications.

But let’s take a moment to be honest with ourselves: Turf management in the United States is completely out of hand. The most beautiful lawn in the neighborhood has long been a point of competition among neighbors and a point of pride for the weekend warrior. Americans spend gobs of money—over $45 billion per year—on lawn care services, fertilizers and pesticides. The chase to have the best lawn demands valuable time and resources. It can be a sizable line item on your monthly budget, and if done conventionally, it wreaks havoc on the environment in which you live.
According to the ATTRA Sustainable Turf Care guide, the average homeowner uses 10 times more chemical fertilizers per acre than farmers use on farmland. Not only is this unnecessary, but it’s also completely avoidable.
Conventional methods require the over-application of fertilizers, which causes many problems. The over-application of fertilizers also produces a vicious cycle because fertilizers kill valuable microbes and produce excessive thatch build-up, which results in either spraying more chemicals or performing mechanical operations to control the thatch. In an ideal and naturally occurring process, the microbes break down the thatch and return it to replenish the soil.
High fertilization also increases the susceptibility to attack by pests and diseases, including chinch bugs, sod webworms, parasitic nematodes and brown patch. One could equate it to the overuse of antibacterial soaps—eliminating all bacteria results in the subject becoming more susceptible to illness and other infections.Here's the reality: You can have a healthier, lower-maintenance lawn without losing the well-kept appearance of your home. Secret Ingredients
Our natural lawn care plan contains a full spectrum of nutrients that grow stronger, healthier grass. All of our turf and lawn care products contain three secret ingredients to supercharge soil: beneficial microbes, organic acids and active carbon.
The added beneficial microbes help decompose residual pesticides and herbicides and unlock bound nutrients in the soil. This makes nutrients available to plants in simpler, more easily absorbed forms. Microbes amplify conventional programs by making your inputs work harder for longer.
Organic acids and top-quality, organic carbon work to break surface tension of compacted soils and deliver oxygen to the root zone. Grass grows deeper roots in oxygenated soil, helping it resist disease and overtake weeds.
Carbon is the main building block of all organic life. In fact, 50% of plant life is made up of carbon. Carbon feeds microbes and is critical to microbial health. The microbes, in turn, assimilate nutrients and deliver them to the grass roots for growth and development. Carbon is the ultimate macro element that lawns need to thrive.
With these three secret ingredients, plants develop deeper roots, retain water, resist disease and pests and become lush and healthy.
What to Expect
With any lawn care program, your turf won't look perfect at all times. Even with conventional lawn care programs, your grass is highly susceptible to pests and disease because the weak soil and natural fighting abilities have been destroyed.
While implementing our all-natural lawn care program, we ask that you don't expect your lawn to always look flawless. If you're switching over from a conventional program, it's going to take time to repair your soil, build up the soil flora and get the soil nutrients back to a healthy state. Start with FertALive
If you’re not ready to make the switch to a 100% organic program, FertALive is the perfect place to start. As the organic fertilizer of all organic fertilizers, FertALive provides a unique blend with all the benefits of humates—plus an added 4% of nitrogen. This nitrogen is similar to what you’re accustomed to applying, just in a significantly smaller amount. Plus, FertALive and our other products work well as integral parts of conventional lawn care programs and drastically reduce the need for synthetic fertilizers.
What about weed control?
Our all-natural weed killer, Torched, is non-selective and highly effective against those pesky weeds around the perimeter of your yard. Since it's non-selective, Torched kills grass, weeds and any other plant it touches. Expect any vegetation you spray this product on to be, well, torched! With this in mind, we do not advise spraying directly on your lawn or ground covers unless you are trying to use Torched as a burn down. Torched is ideal to use in the garden and around fence lines and flower beds. It is a very effective kill against most weeds and unwanted vegetation.
Often, homeowners and organic lawn professionals use corn gluten meal as a weed prevention method in lawns. Corn gluten has shown some promising effects on weed seeds. However, using Torched is more effective than corn-based remedies for unwanted vegetation prevention.
