Food-contact surface sanitation
Dilute per facility SOP and EPA label directions. Apply to pre-cleaned surfaces. Allow required contact time per label. No potable water rinse required at approved concentrations.
CIP (Clean-in-Place)
Add to the final sanitizing rinse per system specifications. Monitor concentration with PAA test strips. Effective in both ambient and cold-water CIP cycles.
Storage and handling
- Store in the original container at room temperature
- Avoid contact with metals (corrosive at concentrate strength)
- Use appropriate PPE when handling concentrate
Application method: dilution and spray, foam, or CIP. Do not invent a ppm from this tab — the EPA label is the rate.
Alpet PAA 5.6% is a peracetic acid food-contact surface sanitizer for commercial food processing and production. 5.6% concentrate — dilute to match the facility protocol.
Additional benefits include:
- Broad-spectrum antimicrobial — bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores
- Penetrates biofilms that harbor Listeria, Salmonella, and E. coli
- Effective at refrigerated and cold-storage temperatures where chlorine and quats lose potency
- Breaks down to acetic acid (vinegar) and water — no toxic residues
Qualifications:
- EPA-registered for food-contact surfaces
- No potable-water rinse at approved concentrations
- Stocked and distributed by Southland Organics
Alpet PAA 5.6% is a 5.6% peracetic acid concentrate. PAA oxidizes cell membranes on contact and decomposes to acetic acid and water — no persistent quat or chlorine residue.
